18th Annual Charity Golf Tournament
"KCFCU's Annual Charity Golf tournament is one of our favorite community events- for a great cause. Below, Tess Shimabukuro, KCFCU's President/CEO, presents a check for $36,000 to Dr. Grace Galiza D.O. Pediatrics at Wilcox, and Andy Bestwick, Development Officer with the Wilcox Health Philanthropy. Also present were Colette Forcier, Kapiolani Children's Miracle Network Program Director and Christopher Kruger, Elaine Jay, Stan Hollen of CO-OP. Proceeds benefit Wilcox Health Foundation for Pediatric Services on Kauai via the Kapiolani Children's Miracle Network."

Kauai's Credit Unions 6th Annual Kauai Independent Food Bank Food Drive
KCFCU teams up with Kauai's Credit Unions to support the Kauai Independent Food Bank. This year, Kauai's Credit Unions will work together to raise $15,000 in 15 days for the KIFB Keiki Cafe program which provides over 166,000 healthy snacks to students of after school programs. Throughout the school year, the KIFB delivers snacks to 10 locations throughout Kauai, including Boys and Girls Clubs. Food and monetary donations are being accepted at participating credit unions, including the Garden Island FCU, the Kauai Community FCU, the Kauai Teachers FCU, the Kauai Government FCU, the Kekaha FCU, and the McBryde FCU, beginning June 26- July 14th. Our keiki are counting on us to nourish them!
2017 Student Scholarship Recipients
Each year, as part of our Your Choice youth program, KCFCU awards up to five $1,000 scholarships to students graduating from high school and bound for college. To further help with the rising cost of attendance for college students, KCFCU increased its scholarship amount to $2,000 for five students.

KCFCU Partners with Kauai Community College's Digital Photography Class
KCFCU awarded Janece Yatsko, a student of Kauai Community College's Digital Photography class, for her piece, "Convergence." The photograph depicts the interaction of an incoming wave against a backwash.
Yatsko was presented the R.J. Baker Photo Award for having the greatest number of votes from the general public.The award was presented by county dignitaries and the Kauai Community Federal Credit Union. Janece's piece, along with other Digital Photography Students' work (from the Fall 2016-Spring 2017 semesters), are on display at the Pi'ikoi Building of the Lihue Civic Center.
Congratulations to Janice Yatsko who is presented the $250 R.J. Baker Photo Award for having the greatest number of votes during the KCC Photo exhibit in the Piikoi Building, Lihue Civic Center. Presenting the award are Mayor Bernard Carvalho Jr., KCFCU Executive VP Justin Ganaden, KCFCU Marketing Specialist Terri Kaniho, and Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation Lenny Rapozo.
